Mark is CEO of Projectworks, a platform helping SMB consulting firms grow profitably. With 30+ years leading consulting and technology firms, he works directly with leaders of small and medium consulting firms navigating the challenges of rapid growth, the experience at the heart of The $50M Consulting Firm.
Mark was previously Chair of Provoke, a fast-growing, AI-focused consultancy operating in the US and New Zealand. Prior to that, he was CEO of Nexient, an innovative software consultancy where he led growth from $35M to over $130M. Nexient was acquired by NTT DATA in 2021, where Mark went on to lead the creation of Launch by NTT DATA.
Earlier in his career, Mark served as President and COO of BILL, where he led the design and buildout of a payment network that now processes over 1% of the GDP ($345 billion annually and over $1 trillion in total to date). He has also held product and company leadership roles at venture-backed companies GetThere, Genesys, and Rearden Commerce, and helped create Andersen Consulting's Palo Alto technology center, co-leading the creation of a startup SaaS company within the firm.
Mark is an inventor on 44 US patents, a reflection of his career-long focus on applying new technology to real business problems.
Outside work, he can be found scuba diving, snowboarding, hunting for great food and wine, and trying to decarbonize his home in the San Francisco Bay Area.
