What to Expect at the Executive Summit
What to Expect at the 2026 Executive Summit
The TechServe Alliance Executive Summit brings together IT and engineering staffing executives to strategize, learn, and connect. The focus of the Executive Summit is on the trends shaping the industry today — and more importantly, what they mean for your firm tomorrow.
The 2026 Executive Summit is designed for executives setting firm strategy and the rising leaders building alongside them. By participating in the Executive Summit, you will refine where your firm is going, build the relationships that will help you get there, and walk away with a clearer plan for how to grow through what's next.
Three Days, Built Different
The 2026 Executive Summit is structured around a deliberate question: what does the IT and engineering staffing firm of the future actually look like, and what does it take to lead one through real change? Every session, every conversation, every connection is designed to move you closer to your own answer.
- November 9 is built for relationships. Speed Networking opens the summit with structured one-on-one introductions to peers, Solution Providers, and SIM TechExec leaders most relevant to your firm. Pre-conference workshops give you focused time with subject-matter experts. The opening networking reception , joint with SIM TechExec and Summit Sponsors, brings everyone together in a relaxed setting overlooking the Pacific.
- November 10 brings the industry's biggest strategic questions into the room. From AI and solutions transformation to client buying behavior and talent strategy, the day is built around the issues leaders are navigating right now. The morning opens with a joint TechServe & SIM keynote, followed by the CIO/CTO Roundtables — small-group conversations with senior technology executives from SIM TechExec on what they are seeing inside their organizations and how they are thinking about the year ahead. Educational blocks throughout the day cover the most pressing topics in IT and engineering staffing, including a dedicated Solutions Work Room featuring real case studies. Dedicated demo time also brings the products and services of value to the staffing industry directly in front of you. The day closes with The Vision: A TechServe Think Tank — a capstone session that puts the question of the future firm directly on stage. Then the evening turns to Surf's Up! — the joint reception with SIM TechExec, with casual beach vibe bites, music, open bar, ocean air, and great conversations under the California stars.
- November 11 turns thinking into action. The morning opens with a featured keynote from Ron Hetrick of Lightcast on what the labor market is actually doing right now and what it means for the next twelve months. Educational blocks throughout the day are focused on the trends shaping the future of the industry. Midday brings the Annual Technology Executive Women's Luncheon, co-hosted with SIM TechExec and dedicated to advancing women in leadership across both communities. We close the summit with additional thought leadership, and of course, we celebrate the end of the Summit and what is ahead for our industry with one final toast.
Conversations That Do Not Happen Anywhere Else
Several formats in the 2026 Executive Summit are designed to produce a kind of conversation that does not happen at other industry events.
- NEW! Summit Councils are small peer groups of firm leaders that meet three times across the Executive Summit. Each session has a specific focus: Reality Today, What's Possible, Accountability. You walk out Wednesday afternoon with real industry connections and a clear sense of what to do next. Advance registration is required. Emails with details on how to participate will be sent out closer to the Summit.
- NEW! CIO and CTO Roundtables give you direct time with senior technology executives in small-group conversations about what they are seeing inside their organizations, how they are thinking about AI and workforce strategy, and what is shaping their priorities. A unique window into how the demand side of our industry is evolving, from the people leading that evolution.
- NEW! The Vision: A TechServe Think Tank is the marquee session of November 10. Respected staffing firm leaders take the stage to build a firm in real time — no prepared remarks, no coordinated talking points. Attendees ask questions, push back on assumptions, and shape the conversation as it unfolds. You leave with a clearer view of what tomorrow's firm looks like, and a sharper sense of what you can do differently at your own firm to get there.
- Speed Networking opens the summit with a structured hour of pre-matched, one-on-one conversations. Share your preferences — peer CEOs at a similar stage, Solution Providers in a specific category, SIM technology executives in industries that matter to your firm — and we will do our best to connect you with the people most relevant to you. Speed Networking is the most direct way to start the relationships that shape your time at the summit. Advance registration is required.
- The Technology Executive Women's Luncheon brings senior women leaders from TechServe Alliance and SIM TechExec together for a shared midday on November 11. Now in its 18th year, the Luncheon is dedicated to advancing women in leadership across IT staffing and enterprise technology — two industries where the work of building durable executive pipelines is far from finished. Senior women from the staffing side of the industry are seated alongside senior technology women from the client community, in one of the few annual moments where that combination happens. The conversations shape relationships that last well beyond the summit. Please note that we welcome all attendees to participate, but Advance registration is required.
Insights that Grow Your Firm
The 2026 Executive Summit is built around the strategic shifts every IT and engineering staffing firm leader is navigating right now.
- The AI Rewrite of staffing. What members are actually deploying, what is working, what is not. Use cases and work flows across recruiting, sales, client delivery, and back-office operations. Real implementations, not theoretical roadmaps — and honest talk about what AI changes for firm economics, talent strategy, and competitive positioning over the next two to three years.
- The consultative shift. How successful firms are repositioning as client buying behavior evolves. What it takes to move from filling roles to delivering outcomes, what services portfolios actually look like at firms making the transition, and how to price, sell, and operate differently.
- The talent market. What is happening in IT and engineering hiring right now — the data, the demand signals, and what to expect over the next twelve months. Where firms are winning candidates, where they are losing them, and how the talent strategy of the next year is different from the playbook that worked in 2024 and 2025.
- The buyer's view. What CIOs and CTOs are prioritizing, where their budgets are moving, and what they wish their IT & Engineering staffing partners understood. Hear direct from senior technology executives in roundtable conversations, panel discussions, keynotes, and networking throughout the Summit.
- Leading the firm of the future. What the next-generation IT and engineering staffing firm looks like — how it is structured, how it competes, how it uses technology to deliver more value, and what investments matter most for leaders making strategic decisions now.
